Ok, if anyone remembers my various queries on v8 american cars (fox body/ LSx GM motors etc...)
i traded my '94 325i (2.8L/ 60trim turbo+etc) for......
A '98 camaro z28, ls1/t56 ,manual windows/lock and no sunroof, bunch of goodies, mild cam, gears, long tubes, etc, tuned to 367whp , and he gave me cash and a spare set of ROH wheels with brand new falkens on them...!!!
Am I excited? yes , happy? yes? is it awesome? OH YEAH !!!
Do I want you guys to tell me all about them? Please !

The 4th gen is an interesting car--it's an amazingly crude car in some ways, but so much fun. A hardtop (no sunroof version, btw, just T-tops) with low options like yours is cool, and should be pretty light...probably mid 3300s or so. The engine is fantastic, and the car can handle surprisingly well if you put enough tire on it. Stranoparts.com is the answer to all your handling needs. Get an LS6 intake on there for a cheap upgrade.
They can be a bit of a pain to work on, and they have huge blind spots thanks to the rear wing, b-pillar arrangement, and the tall, fat rear fenders that make the side mirrors nearly useless.
All in all, 4th-gens have some significant flaws, but they're just so much damn fun that it's easy to ignore all the bad stuff.
i still haven't taken pics but exterior wise .... it looks stock. i'm putting the ROH wheels it came with on it today and then onto some pics .
so far i love it and really would enjoy tightening it down, the title says 3300 lbs but my friend who has a FB t/a WS6 says they weigh closer to 3600 lbs .... hhhm???

4th gen Camaros are all fun and games until you need to do the last 2 sparkplugs...
But seriously, nice deal! They are fun cars, even with an automatic, and they are really fun with the manual.
Score! I understand they're easy to upgrade, too.
These guys were super nice and a little better priced when I bought my front springs for my Trans AM...BMR Suspension
The hot setup for these cars is...
550 lb linear front springs with 35mm front bar
150 or 160 lb rear springs with 22 mm bar OR a third Gen WS6 bar. We cut a coil on the stock springs of our Challenge car but I don't recommend it because they can fall out on full droop.
Adjustable panhard bar
Quality shocks ( Koni, Bilstein, etc)
As much negative camber as you can dial in. You can grind out the lower control arm mounts for free or buy offset upper control arm bushings.
17x11 rims on all corners with 315 or 335 tires. They will fit with the proper offset (35 mm IIRC on a Camaro) and a little wheel well hammer persuasion.
ha, how would you know Matt....oh wait
You can do this with it:
Or this:
Don't forget to carry a mullet wig in the back seat too.

Honestly those two plugs weren't as bad as everyone makes them out to be. Did plugs and wires in one afternoon and it just looked like a got in a fight with a cougar.
I enjoy having over 300hp and still getting over 30mpg on the highway.

The T/A tends to be heavier because it tends to have nicer options like more supportive leather seats, better stereo, etc. Also headlight motors, massive wing, 17" wheels (Z28 came with 16s), stuff like that.
I weighed a bone stock LS1 M6 Camaro w/t-tops on my Intercomp scales. It was 3333 with about 1/4 tank of gas.

They are decent cars with horrid engine accessibility!
And the weight is laudably low, especially considering the two ton barge they now call a Camaro!
yeah after a once over at my work, i've determined that it has no front sway bar , needs shocks all around ,but has BMR subframe connectors .
Very nice motor you've scored there.
