It was on this date in 1940 that Mario Andretti and his twin brother Aldo came into the world. "Mario" has become synonymous with "race driver", as he has won everything from the Daytona 500 in 1967 and the 12 Hours of Sebring the following month, to the 1969 Indianapolis 500 and, later, the World Driving Championship in F1. Born in Italy, he came here as a kid, and became a US citizen and American hero!
I hope I can be in the shape Mario is in, by the time I get to 80!
