Wife is looking at the forte gt-line with the 2.0 Atkinson cycle cvt. I don't remember seeing this on the test fleet.

Right? I know I'm the korean car lover here but man... these guys rock.
EDIT: I ask because with the 0% financing, my finance manager likes the idea of going back to 4 doors, something new to last 10-15 years again and she likes the color: of this
Not looking for anything now but followed the link. That's a lot of car for that price, and awesome color.
I'm hoping this trends. We all know how bloated the auto industry is. Let's sell those 30k cars at 15-20k

that's why I'm curious. I'll have to find out where they hid the "gotcha" in there. There is one local for about $2k more.

Just to make sure I'm looking at the correct car, it's the GT and not the GT-Line, right? The Kia media site shows the turbo engine with the GT but not the GT-Line.
In reply to David S. Wallens :
GT-Line, non-turbo 2.0L MPFI engine with the CVT (they call it an IVT). I would get a GT, but this is for the wife and 40mpg highway is what she is most interested in.
My publication's tested one and one of my former housemates actually bought an Elantra with that powertrain. One of the best CVTs I've experienced, great real-world fuel economy, structure feels rock solid, steering isn't as vague as the old model but still isn't brimming with feel. Overall they seem like good little cars.
It also helps that they come with heaps of equipment and that Hyundai/Kia infotainment is pretty much the industry leader right now. Surprisingly good NVH control too.

that's good news. I'm not a CVT fan personally but she wants another auto and everyone is headed that route.

the infotainment is a biggie. It HAS to be easy for her to use.

The average person will practically never notice that it's a CVT and not a conventional auto. Only when you're absolutely foot-to-the-floor does the typical CVT behaviour come out.

Hyundai/Kia make great use of hard redundant controls so it's easy to operate just about every function and CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity is a breeze too. Another thing I noticed was that the heated seats and steering wheel are great - nice and hot, even in very sub-zero temperatures. Backup camera quality is also decent for the money and the driving assist suite is on-par with BMW's.
One of our writers took an EX trim to Detroit a while ago. Feel free to read his review if you get a chance.
Sadly, no Forte in the Florida fleet. Just heard back. We do have a sweet AMG plus a GTI this week, though.
well, she changed her mind. Now we're looking at the Elantra instead (same car) because she hated the popped up screen
