Clutch switch bump stop
Smurf turds. Only found on Mariner Blue cars.

Backstory:
Without that stop, the switch plunger started to compress, then slipped through the hole the stop snaps into. Making a really loud click with each pedal press.
This was discovered about a mile from our house as we headed for an evening out - 30 miles away through rush hour.
My wife wanted to bail and head home. I said we should press on. All worked out fine, but I admit being relieved to hear the starter turn over when we got in the car to head home. Would have taken me a long while to live that one down!

Although the engine still starts and the brake lights still turn on.
