I like the IDEA of dog boxes every time I can't shift at high RPM.
But then I remember how much of a pain my Detroit Locker was with respect to drivetrain lash and clunking and banging and popping out of engagement with the kind of motorsports I am involved with, and those are basically a couple dog sliders on springs to engage the axles to the carrier, and I realize that the other side of the fence isn't all that green.
Yeah guys, this is an old Lemons car that I'd like to run in Lucky Dog. Trying to keep it budget-ish.
I think I've narrowed it down to two options. I've driven both and I like how they shift. People are using both with powerplants making 300ft*lbs. Still there are downsides

Not as strong as the T5. Not as available in modern junkyards if I blow one up at an event. Finding a non-ragged out one in the first place might be hard.
4.0 Mustang WCT5
I'm limited to older Ranger flywheel/clutch and I haven't been able to confirm that the input shaft splines are the same between the mustang T5 and the ranger which might lead to a custom clutch. Have to deal with a remote shifter.
