I may have asked this before but can't remember and can't find it via search.  My son's 2010 HHR SS needs front struts.  They are NLA from AC Delco.  Trying to find NOS with very little luck.  I think I found the right side but not the left.  Anyone have good sources or know where to search?  The car has the FE5 suspension package and apparently it's not interchangeable.  If I can't source them I'm gonna need a plan B.

Are they the same as the Cobalt SS?

This is what I could find after a quick search, the listings say they interchange but buyer beware..

Amazon link for passenger side

Ebay motors link for driver side

Random link that says they have the original part # available for driver side

EDIT:  Those are probably no help, good luck with your search..

Yes, unfortunately those are for the base model. I don't think it interchanges with the Cobalt.

Is the only difference that little tab that is below the spring perch between LH and RH?

If so, and that tab is important, order two RH, cut the tab off, cut the tab off your old LH, weld the LH tab to the RH body and you got an RH.

You may blow the shock right the berkeley up or damage it by welding, so YMMV.

If that tab is just for brake lines or something just cut it off and ziptie the LH brake line to the strut.

That's the issue with the HHR SS; a lot of stuff that's different from the base HHR and the Cobalt SS. We had a guy bring one in with a bad fuse block and the fuse block was unique to the HHR SS and not available aftermarket. We spent over a year trying to A) find an HHR SS fuse block and B) find an HHR SS fuse block that was any good. We found one and it had the exact same rampant internal corrosion as the one that we took out. It was about another 9 months until we found one that worked.
