So the probe gt is ready to go. Unfortunately the large rear sway bar I ordered last Wednesday  was nor shipped until today.  This means it will be arriving Friday afternoon in time to do no good for the challenge.

So what are my junkyard options for a 1993 ford probe rear sway?

I have nothing at all on the rear, stock bar is long gone.

Put some spring rubbers in the rear.

Get those coil spring spacers at the auto parts store. Just crank them in to make the rear rate really high for autox. You can take them out again for drag if desired.

Apparently a contour, a mystique or a cougar bar is an upgrade and bolts up.  Looks like we have a junk yard trip in our future before we depart.

I agree with the spring rubber comments.  Increasing the rear spring rate does the same as the bar, and can be removed if needed.  Our 3rd place autocross Challenge Mustang had tons of spring rubbers up front to increase the rate.  And the rubbers are fairly cheap at any parts store.

Success!  18mm bar off of a 6 cylinder mystique.  Brackets from a 1995 626.

Dammit why didn't you post sooner?!?!  I've got a BFN 626 rear bar with mounting brackets and bushings sitting in my garage, as well as front camber bolts.  Would take junkyard price plus shipping.

You'll need to log in to post.
