Looks like 2011 is the swan song for carburetors! Maybe this a step in the "right" direction back towards at least production-based cars.

I still want all the makes to field real stock cars. I think it would be much more fun to watch a bunch of FWD and RWD sedans duke it out instead of these "stock" cars.

It would be cool/interesting for Nascar to be on the cutting edge of technology.
Anyone ever see how much fuel pressure they run on those "carbs" ?
This isn't as big a step as one might think for them. Aside from not having to dick with jetting anymore and perhaps a little more finite control of the system by the engineers.
I don't doubt the intelligence of the guys prepping Nascar stuff. They are just working their butts off to make carbs (something you can't get on a new car) work better than the other guy. I like race series that aim all that effort at something you will see on a street car so we can benefit.
I can see it now... there will be guys in the pits running out with fuel, tires, ...and an OBD2 tuner tweaking the fuel curve
Should let them tweak whatever they want with the fuel/ignition computer. It would make things more interesting.

Nor the racing.
Really means nothing outside of appearences.
More power? Cool- all the rest will too. Better fuel economy- cool- all of them will. Basically, they will all be the same, still.

They will all be as "Equal" as always. And some will still be a little more "equal" than others.

What did you say about WWE?
^Yep, the only two NASCAR races I car about are the two road courses.
I love that they bring in the hired guns to try to wrestle those heavy, high HP behemoths around a road course.
I want to drive one around a road course!

I want to see then on the 'Ring
NASCAR did a pole of the fans cars in the parking lots of last seasons events. Lots of Piousii, with #3 stickers. So, they're starting to think GREEN.
