Aren't these the ones that are basically identical to the 05-07 models?
Ugly, cheaply made interiors, 2012+ are so much better as long as you get the manual trans option... Fulfills the minimum requirements of transportation and not much else.
Wife had an 08 when we got married. It was fine as a car but a perfect appliance. It was rugged, cheap and not the worst thing I’ve driven.
It always felt that the 2nd gen focus were complete afterthought in every category since we didn't get the ROW 2nd gen. The design was a regression from the 1st gen...
One interesting thing is that it's the only generation with a coupe version...if you wanna seem cool and sporty, try to find one of those with a manual. It was rated 3 horsepower (lol) more than the other models.
Personally, I want to buy one and make it a custom RWD widebody touring/GT race car, like the fantasy Hot Wheels version. 
I think the interior on these is okay for the price point. I'm fine with the interior in my Suzuki SX4 though so grain of salt.
I prefer the later years of the first generation, though.
They're horribly ugly compared to the gen-1 Focii. Aside from Sync, which was pretty wild at the time, I found them to be a huge step back in every way vs the pre-2008 Focus. My ex had one and I hated it. Great on gas, Sync was good, base audio system was good, otherwise ruined by the looks and chintzy interior.
Wasn't a fan of how they looked.
2012's are getting pretty cheap because '13 had refresh of everything and 13's are getting cheap because of the...'15(?) refresh.
