So I inherited this lil battery for free and I'd like to convert it to top posts and see if it will start my miata. My initial thought is to get threaded posts and use the existing nut to attach them (like in the 2nd photo). Any easier/obvious ways I'm missing?

Will these fit? Walmart sells them too, back next to car battery and battery chargers.

Yup, I was thinking something along those lines. No idea what the thread pitch is on those, but for $3, might be worth rolling the dice

They are 3/8-16 thread.
