I've been emailing with the folks at Milhoff and they have replacement parts ! I sent them the pictures of the vise and I expect to hear back on a part quote today or tomorrow.
Cool deal. It's nice to see product support like that (although maybe we should wait until you find out how much it will cost...)

I'm waiting to see. It could still end up welded to a chunk of plate. :)
FWIW. There are some cool videos on the U tube of vise restoration in case you have a few hours to kill in quarantine.
Hey Warren, if you go the route of making something, I'd be happy to do any machining you need. Saving that vise seems like a worthwhile endeavor.

Thanks Phil, but I'll be ordering the pieces from the original welding shop that made it. They still make them and sell them to a firm in Michigan that installs them on the bumper of utility trucks.
Edit: Do you TIG weld? One thing it could use would be to weld up the two mounting holes and re-drill them to match the hole spacing on the new base.
So the parts will be $90 plus tax and freight. They still manufacture the units and current retail pricing is $549, so fixing it is well worthwhile. GRM hive strikes again! Thank you very much, Stuart.

Yes, I do TIG. Happy to help. And it now looks like I'm not going anywhere until after the 28th.

Thank you for supporting the company that supports their product.
And yes, if you want to see how good an old vise can be, you need to check out My Mechanics on YouTube. I think there are three vise restorations on there, that includes buying some new parts like jaws.
Fixed for $105 all in. Company provided parts while I mailed a personal cheque to them. I welded up the one hole that was wallowed out and drilled it to match the new base plate. Works like a charm now.
