Jesus, help us.
These are the type of fruit loops you don't want on the road.
"I have a 83' Volvo 244 T that recently lost its brakes. I've been using it as my daily driver and have been using my emergency brake to stop. Other than that this car is mechanically sound, needs a muffler and isn't cosmetically the best but gets from point a to point b no problem"
The good news is, only a select few of us ever have to worry about encountering him.
The bad news? There are more like him.

Wow. I just... Wow. I had the brakes go out on my van once. I drove it a total of a few additional feet (until it stopped with the parking brake) and there it sat until it was fixed. I would NOT trust the parking brake, especially on an older car, to stop reliably ever.

My ex-wife did this for about 2 weeks before telling me. "I think there's something wrong with the brakes." Interestingly, it was likewise a Volvo 244. One master cylinder from my parts stash later, it was fine.

I like how he did that thing where he covers the rear plate with the tip of his schlo^H^H^H^H finger, presumably so he doesn't get reported or pulled over for driving with no brakes, but the front one is still completely readable. Winnar 100%.
If he crashes into my family (and anyone really) under those circumstances... Well, I shouldn't print what punishment he deserves.

I bet it does, It's damn near unstoppable.
Wow that's a Oregon millennial stereotype if I've ever seen one.
- tattooed hand
- no knowledge of basic mechanics
- starbucks on the dash.
- no concept of how their poor decisions could affect others.
It looks like its more than likely a man's finger so I'm assuming a beard is involved.

Do you want state inspections? Cause that's how you get state inspections.
It has no brakes...how is that a reliable vehicle? If you asked, well ANYONE, the definition of a reliable vehicle they would probably say it has to do only two things: Go and Stop.
If it were a manual and closer I'd be teaching swmbo how to drive with a trailer on the back.
Sounds more like he doesn't want to live on this planet anymore.
Carry on Darwin.

That description isn't limited to just Oregon.
There is another Volvo on the local CL here that's described as also having brake issues (with pic of dented front end of said car to show what it resulted in).
