not affiliated, yada yada yada, but what looks like a nice old Honda, not sure of the asking price though. Seems high to me.

That looks sweet. I would love one of those and have never seen one around here.
My one question is: If he get cash offers whie driving down the road in the car, why does he need to put it on CL?
I'd be all over it, but I want one of those very badly. 2k doesn't seem too high, CVCC's are getting genuinely rare nowadays.

I dunno. I've seen plenty of straight up turds for $1k. I think the price is in line.

the choke is pulled out as can be seen in the first picture of the interior.
Check out the mono, low, center speaker for the radio.
You are kidding folks? 2K is too much for a low mileage Honda with these factory goodies(factory tach and "stand-alone" gauges)? I was just on the local (Memphis, Tn.) CL and 2K MIGHT get you a HIGH mileage 4th or 5th gen Civic in WORSE condition than this car. If this guy drove around with a for sale sign in the rear window, he'd be swamped with offers....and for more than 2 grand.

you guys are way too observant
Ok. I was wrong. Let me correct my statement.
I wouldn't pay $2k for the car.
Still would be fun with a GSXR1000 motor in it.
Wow. when I graduated hs I was going to buy a 77 honda, my pops talked me out of it, and talked me into buying the piece of land that I still live on. always thought about getting one of these later. I looked a few years ago with serious interest, and they were either really lightened (rust) or very expensive. This looks like a great price on the car, if you had a mind to own one. My life took a different turn now, and although Id love it, it really isnt in the cards right now.
hehe and then there was this OLD waitress all of us had a crush on, "martha" heck she had to be 25 ;) she used to drive one of these, and 3-5 of us use to go pick her car up and put it in some weird places just to mess around
I'm not a Honda guy, but man do I love those CVCCs.
I'd pay $2K for that in a second.......just not this second.

makes sense.
If the car is as cherry in person as it is in the pictures, then $2K sounds reasonable. Yeah, it's old and slow, but in the grand scheme of things it's kinda historic and they are rare. Only time I've ever seen a Civic of that vintage in New England, it was rotting away in a local junkyard. I'd do a little freshening, but otherwise leave it stock and maybe bring it to Japanese "nostalgic car" events.

Agreed. I think that thing's oly going to appreciate over the years.
What a nice little runner. It's screaming to have a light resto done on it.
I dunno if I could bring myself to dress it up--although the temptation of Panasports w/ fat rubber, a drop and an RS grille would be tempting...
I would bet that on ebay this car could easily bring double ($4k).
I would think the typical buyer there would be someone with an emotional attachement to it. My guess is that the attachment would either be that they had/wanted on when they were younger or first got laid inside one.

where? in an extremely uncomfortable place. What... like the back of a Honda CVCC? (VW)?
