why not just get him a 2WD manual ford ranger for $800? Then when he wants to do more, bro-lite conversion time.
When you're 12 you can either hang out dreaming about what you could do, or you can sit down with your dad, a handful of tools, and a frame.
Is it perfect? No. Will it get him racing? Yes. We're going to have some fun.
Lots of potential upgrades including tires and seat. First it needs a motor and some cleaning.
Naturally there will be a build thread. It's going to be a little while as it's still a secret. He won't learn about it until his birthday and we won't start on it until it gets back to Texas.
