Went to Pittsburgh and back in the rain. Yee haw. She pulls well but feels about as heavy as my open with the car on it.

If its anything like my little 16' enclosed once over 50mph I couldn't tell you if the miata was in it or not.
Not what I meant, the aero drag is enough what's inside doesn't really matter anymore.....until you try and stop of course.
Having a 28ft enclosed myself, you are right, they pull well but you do feel it. Putting a vehicle in it doesn't seem to affect how it pulls very much.
I dunno, the Cummins doesn't care that much 28' is what we use for a two-Miata trailer. But yeah, welcome to the world of aero drag. And things that don't get wet in the rain.
Gas stations are now more going to be interesting. If you're running a typical 3/4 ton, you're now over 50' long.
Yup. I have a crew cab short bed. It makes my Suburban look short. But, having a dry space and all my stuff in one place will be nice.
What made you choose the 28' over the 24'? I'm shopping single car enclosed trailers as well and am trying to decide between the two.

Same reason im looking at a 32. What's 4 more feet?
Mark, I am wondering if you were able to get the trailer at your price point? I picked (last week) up a 8.5x 20 for a bit more than I wanted to spend but it's a 2013.

Kind of jealous right now. I'm hoping to find a decent enclosed trailer for challenge type money. I'm probably asking a lot there.
Look southeast. It was worth our while to pick one up in Atlanta (at the Mitty!) and tow it back to Colorado. Trailers are cheap in Georgia and environs.
I won it on ebay for 2700. Couldn't pass it up. All it needs is cleaning, paint on the inside and a spare.

Yep, its like the center of the trailer manufacturing world. Trailers depreciate a certain amount and never go lower, so its hard to get a smoking deal. My 18' open is still worth what i paid for it 14 years ago if not more

Very true, they rarely get to the smoking deal level. If they do, they usually have some serious issues with them.
On a related note, I will be putting mine up for sale soon, just don't need/use it anymore since I sold the 81 Camaro and my 2012 Camaro won't fit, mirrors are too wide. 8 x 28ft V-nose Horton Hauler. Looking to get a smaller one (7x14ish) to carry the motorcycle in.

Take it from someone who has blown out two tires on a round-trip venture to the track. One spare is no spare. Also, most trailer tires are utter garbage.
They're also neglected a lot. Inspect them regularly. Monitor the tire pressure. Check the bearings and suspension before every trip.
HF sells some covers for the tires that protect them from UV. Helps a lot. I've never had a trailer tire blow on me (knocks on wood).
