I made the drive from Rome, NY to Montpelier, OH today and while on I-80W near Bellevue, OH I spotted some odd vehicles ahead. Closing in , I noticed they had stuck-on taillamps like those magnetic trailer lights from Harbor Freight, spots where fender flares and body cladding should go but wasn't attached, and lack of exhaust tips. Going around them, they had weird stuck-on headlamps as well, pinned hoods, and front bumpers with no grilles. They were a Cadillac Lyriq EV and a Chevy Blazer EV mules, being escorted by a regular Blazer with manufacturer plates. All three had big whip antennas and none of the drivers looked please that I was snapping pics. Wish I could've gotten photos of the front, but that would've been difficult

Interesting.
I live about 8 miles north of that Turnpike area.
Rome, NY to Montpelier, OH That's 8hr+ of driving!
In Southern Metro Detroit, it pretty popular to see Ford Vehicles like similar on the road. Northernn Metro Detroit tends to be more GM and Chrysler.

In reply to John Welsh :
The Blazer EV really threw me off at first. With those round taillights tacked on, it looked like a Mazda product at first. The charging doors on the fender seemed to be just an unreinforced piece of sheetmetal with no latch, so they were fluttering and flapping and flexing as they went down the road. Rome, NY isn't exactly a hotspot of auto development so I never get to see cool stuff like this.
The rear end on that Cadillac is interesting. I think I kind of like it? Take that shape and smoosh it vertically 50% for a car and I bet it would look really good.
Has anybody seen the Honda/GM mule yet?
The two formed a partnership and I'm eagerly awaiting to see that.

I haven't seen it, but the Acura version is going to be called ZDX.
I thought GM let the buyers be the test mules?

Apparently he never bought a new 1986 Pontiac Grand Am. That was brutal.
