This is off the G35. It did about half its life on the front, the last half on the rear. I'm pretty happy with the wear patterns.

Surprisingly enough, it had zero grip. I must have gotten through the tread compound and into the carcass.

Heh.  Had that conversation with a friend, who'd just bought some new Kumhos (the UHP tire they had in the early 00s).  He wondered about getting an alignment.  I looked at his old tires, and told him to just get it CHECKED and keep those numbers handy for reference.  You probably could have calibrated a T-square with his old tires.

 

A lot of times the alignment spec is for handling reasons, not tire wear.  Ford was fond of lots of negative camber and negative toe in front drive cars in the 90s, which would demolish tires.  Used to have a lot of pissed-off Contour owners.

I had four '90s Ford fwd cars,  never had a tire wear problem. Specs are reasonable with strut cas.
