Had lunch with a colleague up in town and decided I wasn't in any hurry to get home. So, back roads it was, with a couple of highway onramps along the way. Been a while since I hit redline so often. I love my car. I know you guys can relate.

I had to meet my girlfriend for dinner last night; she lives about 30 miles away. I left an hour early and used that entire hour ripping up and down back roads.
It was glorious.
must be nice. In my part of the country the backroads are flat straight boring roads, just like the highways. But with more chances of hitting wildlife.
This year we have a bumper crop of pot holes so I have to be careful until the DPW get them sorted.
But ya I look forward to those types of drives.
I had some out-of-towners in a Fiat X1/9 at the local sonic comment on the amazing roads around here after I commented on their nice Fiat.
central Kentucky btw. I think the roads are the one thing that keep me sane.
Setup: Two lane road slows to 35mph limit over sketchy bridge, then opens right back up to 55.
Yesterday one of our local citizens apparently didn't like the fact that I slowed for the bridge and tried to pass me coming off the other side. He had a good jump too, I didn't even realize it until his bumper cleared my door.
Fortunately I had already downshifted.
