Do a "B. A." (Bad Attitude) Baracus
Bringing this thread back from the dead. I wonder: has anybody tried a Dajiban in Chumpcar or LeMons? Apparently the easy button for a manual trans is a NV3500, any comment on the gear ratios for sporting intentions?
Another bump from the dead, there's a full sized Ram Van for sale locally with the shortest wheelbase that I've ever seen a Ram Van have. The Escort GT is quickly nearing dailyable status and the xB has been an excellent mule, but it's bland, not exciting and can't tow. The Ram Van would be bland, not exciting, but could tow the BG chassis when called upon. Did anyone ever get around to lowering one using Dakota bits?
I know people lower half ton trucks by using 1 ton lower control arms with deeper spring pockets and the shorter half ton spring. Not sure if this applies to the vans as well or not.

My dakota drop spindles have been sitting here on the floor since... Christmas.
But im cutting my side work to almost nothing for the fall so.. maybe?
I'm considering turning my V8 Safari into a Chebiban. Problem is, who would let me play with it at autocross or on track?
In reply to Daylan C :
They also use B-van LCAs to achieve the same drop, so unfortunately that trick won't work. There is already a pretty deep pocket in the van arms. But this thread is good to see again, as I am looking to drop both my '80s B-van and my '80s 2wd RamCharger.
Necrothreadbump. We need more van love. I've been planning on picking up a full sized van as my tow vehicle for autocross days, and throwing a mattress in the back to get out of the sun. Might as well fulfill my dream and throw some sidepipes on it, lower it with super wide wheels, a big front air dam, and some awesome paint.
