The 16" factory steelies have taken a beating and I don't think any amount of balancing can fix the highway wobbles, as the last trip to Belle Tire didn't make much difference. I don't want to spend a lot of $$ on wheels for a car that we may or may not be keeping long term. Some internet detective work has led to me believe that certain oem 16" alloys from the mid 00s Taurus and Windstar can be made to fit on the newer Focus. (Ours is a SE Sedan) Is there any reason this would be a bad idea? Any other ideas? Am I right in guessing the factory TPMS stuff might not work on older wheels? I'm going junkyarding on Saturday.
Doesn't look half bad in this pic I stole off the internet.
Search Ann Arbor Craigslist for "Taurus wheels" for more. Ford uses 5x4.5 and 5x108 bolt circles. Just be sure you get the right ones.
The Focus is 5x108. In other news I've just learned that in 2013 the Fusion went from a 5x4.5 to 5x108 hub pattern. I wonder what other random fact had to be shoved aside to make room for that in my brain...
I wonder if these Sable wheels would fit over the brakes:
If you squint real hard they almost look a bit like these:

Crap just gave away a set of (4) 5x108 17" ASA BBS reps, done up in a not-so-great bronze repaint by the previous owner, who hadn't really disclosed (nor had he really realized) that (2) had small bends... I know that' doesn't help but hang around a while and you'll find some. Search CL for "5x108" wheels, AND for Volvo wheels as they'll fit (same bolt pattern and centerbore, just watch the offset that they're from something FWD).
Some models they'll fit from: About any FWD or AWD Volvo, Ford Escape, Taurus, Focus (duh) and many Jaguars...
Well, my wife decided working TPMS was a necessity so we upped the budget. I expanded my search to FB marketplace and found a good deal 10 minutes away on some OEM 17” alloys with good tires. Win!

Same as my 2013 SE. However mine are painted dark stainless painted aluminum. I really like this style wheel. They look great on your car!
In reply to trucke :
Thanks. I might eventually paint them gray as I think the blingy polished finish is a bit much on the yellow car.
