Trim panel for a early 1940's car?
Looks like it could be the left side of a hood, under the horizontal part, inside the left fender? See the shiny bits?
Off top of my head, judging on the vent I'm going to say left hood side 1936 chrysler

That 1935 Olds looks pretty dang close if its not.
Cool deal. I wasn't going to google image search every 34-38 car, the olds looks spot on. I remember the chrysler because somewhere along the line I almost bought one
