My GLH challenge car came to me with a mystery custom calibrated ECU. This is the MAP sensor that was attached. I'm trying to figure out if it is a 3-Bar or 2-Bar map. It looks to be a GM sensor, but the online GM part number searches are coming up empty...

The numbers are: 5227492 64469 8626A

The car is running now on a stock chrysler 2-Bar map sensor, but it seems to be running rich. It will barely run on the above map sensor and only for a few seconds. When using the GM map it throws a 'bad map' code, so i'm assuming this particular sensor is dead....

If someone could identify this thing that would be great!

thanks,

Mike

Those part numbers look to be Chrysler not GM.

Mopar CHeM, etc might help you decipher the code in your LM and verify that you have a 3-bar. My guess is that it might be a 3 or a 2.5bar map

Partsvoice.com might be a better place to look for that part number.

Looks sorta like this to me and one of the numbers match up.

FYI

this the the map that came with a kit sold by Chrysler to bring the map sensor from inside the car to the fender well. 2-bar I would think.

5227492 is the chrysler number, I'd say. Phone a dealer with that number and see what they say.
