IMSA’s changes for 2023 won’t be limited to the return of GTP cars as it just announced the IMSA VP Racing SportsCar Challenge: “Le Mans Prototype 3 (LMP3) and Grand Touring 4 (GT4) race cars in 45-minute sprint races with one driver per car.”

Also, props to the two-class format.
This could put a financial bite into all those teams that depend on three drivers with at least two bringing the sponsorship cash. Other than tires and fuel, the cost of doing a 45 minute race is almost like a 6 hour race. (travel expenses, food, crew salaries, equipment, etc., etc)
