So the stewards blamed Bell.
Last time I had a unsafe release it cost me diapers 9 months later. What a stupid name for a penalty.
Hunter Reay should not have been released. Bell didn't have much room to work with once Ryan started moving.
I hate to see that kind of thing. I almost think RHR is almost to blame. There were already two cars in the two lanes. Where was he going to go?
Why can the boys in the booth not see Hinchcliff? He's been top 5 all day, he's made some nice passes, heck, he passed for the lead and they were talking about the pass for third...
That was completely unexpected. I respect the pure balls of Brian herta to roll the dice on that one.
Having spent more years as a crew chief than a driver I always like it when strategy wins a race every now and then.

I should have kept my mouth shut. As soon as they started talking about him, he started going backwards.
I hat gas mileage races- when I saw the number of laps from the last green, I knew it wouldn't be the fastest guy who won today.
That was an awesome finish. The 100th running won by a rookie and an American. Half a lap ahead with barely any fuel left. Insane.

they did later
wouldn't wanna sit in that suit too long
My recording stopped with half a lap to go!!!! Had to find the last lap on youtube.
Really happy the Rossi won it.

espn3.com has it in the replay section
I got lucky and had recorded the XGames thing afterwards. You can hear right after he crosses the line that he is totally shocked that he won.

The stunned look on Rossi's face as he sat in victory lane said enough. If someone told me he would win today, I'd have said no friggin' way.
One broadcast said Rossi's odds were 100:1 earlier in the week but later closed to 20:1 on race day.
Not as exciting as a wheel to wheel finish but strategy or luck paid off and he's the guy w/ his name on the trophy. Glad Rossi won it.
It was a great win by Rossi but I really think they are overstating anything about his stock going up in F1. Winning a fuel mileage race like this where unless I missed something in my scanning of the race on DVR, he didn't lead much before the last little bit. There was the section around lap 130 where he was in the lead during the pit cycles.
He did a good job against an ever weakening indy field. It was a great gamble by Andretti who knew it was their only chance for a win as otherwise it would have been a good top ten finish for Rossi but no win.
