Indycar Detroit GP

Hey,

Is anyone going to this?

Is there a best place to sit?

Access to the island seems limited, is there anyway to mitigate/manage this?

Any tips or suggestions are appreciated!

Adrian and I go pretty much every year. We do general admission and just wander around. Sometimes the paddock is open, sometimes you need a special ticket for that, but we always do it. You can get up really close to the cars and drivers in there. We usually pick one day and go instead of the whole weekend. It's a good, full day between practice, qualifying, and the support races.

As far as getting there, the move is to park downtown somewhere (we usually park by the Ren Cen) and take the free shuttle bus onto the island.

I agree with everything Tom just said.  I've been down to the event for many years and have enjoyed them all.  Not sure about this year yet though.
