Looks like a 7's ugly sister.

My guess is self built car/kit car containing Pinto/Mustang II running gear with a Triumph VIN added.
Seems built from back in an era where Pintos were still on the road.

It's not horrible but some line are awkward.

I was going to say it looks more like a hot rod jeep.

Everyone knows about the mythical Super-Seven, this is the much less known Sub-Seven.

It is wearing widened MGA steel wheels which are pretty cool

In '58 I think Triumph would have only had the TR3

Definitely a good price, especially if he's been driving it for quite a while, as the ad implies. That would lead me to assume it's pretty well sorted.

Only problem is that the proportions are weird (and this means it has a bad width/height ratio). The tall-and-skinnyness of it reminds me of an old Datsun Phaeton.

Not too much Triumph in that. I bet it would be hard to have as much fun for the money. Yeah, its looks aren't the greatest, but frankly neither is an actual Lotus 7's.

Kind of a track-T meets Locost situation. Could still be fun with some mods done to it.
