Damn the luck, I was driving by just as the original owner was putting the For Sale sign in the window...
Edit: what year? Any of them is pure win.
<- has had a 91 crx si as a daily for the last 80K
Good one, Woody!
I had a feeling you were going to change your mind after the responses you got about it. I have parts if you ever need anything.
Of course you probably know that '88's are the lightest of the 2nd gens. And take care of your door panels and climate control panel, because they are all but made of unobtainium, and are expensive if you can find them.
Also, pull the rocker covers off and inspect the rockers behind them. They're kind of important.
That really was a seriously good deal. Let us know when you're done with it, even if you're marking it up.
Here's the plan:
I have a friend who has helped me out in the past when I was broke. He used to own the GRM Project WRX. He's hit some hard times and needs a car. I may spiff this thing up and give it to him. If he doesn't want it, it may find its way to the $2013 classifieds or become my winter beater.
Of course, I've always wanted to go ice racing...
The fun thing about this car is that I owned an 89 Civic Si (bought new) for 12 years and 300k miles, so I know these things inside and out. I don't really even need a shop manual.
Which is good, because I sold my shop manual...
Anybody got a shop manual?
In reply to Woody:
You have the car with no Honda shop manual. I have the Honda shop manual with no car. I wish it were the other way around.

"Then make a deal deal. Who knows? Maybe the guy's a Republican."
Woody wrote: Also: I haven't looked too closely (actually, I've never even driven the little thing) but I was told that it has some kind of aftermarket front spoiler. Can anybody identify this thing?
I likey the front end ... if you decide to remove it ..keep me in mind ...PLEASE ...

that was 'meant to be' ya know
I'm jealous, I've been looking for a nice(nice meaning: not full of rice and rust holes must be smaller than my fist) EF/CRX since august/september and you got that one for a GRAND?

The seats are what closed the deal for me.
