The headline I saw on MSN was "910 ft lbs of Ugly"
Looks a tiny bit like the early 60's front end. Except this one's ugly.

It did kick off the styling trend, ruining the full-sized truck market in the process.
It may have kicked off the styling trend, but to my eyes the 2nd gen Rams still look way better than any full-size truck that's come before or since. Well, let's say from the '80s on. There are a lot of fantastic looking trucks from the '60s and earlier.
I happen to like the 1994-01 Rams! The styling back then was shocking, in a love it or hate it kind of way. My dad had a 2001 1500 2WD long bed as a company truck that I drove for his old company back when it was brand new, and I liked it back then. In fact, I've been trying to find a clean, cheap example to replace my aging Dakota for months. Tough to find both of those things in New England these days.
Also, I'm here for the Silverado memes. Keep them coming!

Wow. That is a butt-ugly truck. Like, pontiac aztek the week it came out ugly.
Hey, looking back on it, maybe the Aztek wasn't all that ugly.

I disagree. I even went and googled a bunch of them before i posted that, and confirmed they remain ugly. Appearing in a supporting role in a TV series just makes it better known, not better looking.
Functional? Sure. Ugly? Exceedingly. From every angle.
Ford first did the upside down face in 2009. GM took it to the extreme 10+ years later.
Edit for better pic

Current us doesn't look too kindly upon the current styling trends either
They have done away with styling the front end and just gone for bigness. It is not attractive in my opinion.

Ugh. I remember when those first hit the market. I took this pic after I pulled into work and saw a new GOV fleet truck starting back at me.
A face only a mother could love.
NickD said:I can't wait to hear all the salesman at work try and BS me and themselves about how good they look. Just like all the lies they themselves and customers about the new Blazer. "It's really cool. It looks like a Traverse and a Camaro had a baby" was an exact quote I overheard.
I didn't even know a Blazer existed again. Just looked it up and that may be one of the lamest-looking crossovers out there - which is saying quite a bit.

Sorry, Chevy’s been doing upside down face since the early 2000’s
