Borla. Pricy but they make those doing fantastic.

Straight pipe, because cheaper and louder.

Yes and no. I was actually thinking of switching to the C63 front bumper, headlights, and grill as it's a direct swap.
When I get the car home I'll be able to better judge if the bumper cover is repairable or if it will need to be changed.
Parts wise I'm hoping to be under $1500 when it's all said and done. But we'll see.
Awesomesauce is like hot wing sauce: everything tastes good if you slather enough on. It won't feel like a mistake until long after the party is over.

Yeah the E55 has the supercharged version of this motor.
The C32 which came before the C55 was a supercharged V6. They make almost the same power, with the nod going to the N/A V8 in the C55 at 362hp to the V6's 349. But the real gap is in the torque department, where the V8 pulls out a whopping 44lbs-ft more than the V6 with a total of 376 to the V6's 332.

Yeah that was my thought also, no real complaints about the engine on the MB forums. Yep it's a clean title, I wouldn't have bought it if it wasn't, I have a thing against non-clean title vehicles.
I think this is probably the best choice you could have made overall if you are getting into a relatively recent fixer upper AMG car. The C class is going to be a bit less crazy in terms of gizmos and a little less expensive in terms of parts (and probably a bit more common as well for used parts) than something higher end and you've got an AMG naturally aspirated V8 rather than a boosted one, which IIRC tend to have more problems than the NA motors.
Psst. To get the shine off of a badly worn leather wheel, use a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. It works wonders.
I'm in for the build thread.
I also have $5 on the parts being north of $1,500
Just think, you get to shop the shady underworld of used & low cost, high end euro parts.

Can't it be both? I expect nothing but pure awesomeness from this.
Sweet buy. It LOOKS like a pretty light hit, especially given that the airbags didn't pop. So, what's a non-smashed one of these worth today?
