See what I did there?
Anyway, here's the `92 Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser. Never mind the wheel/tire combo, they will be gone next week.
It has 195k on it, but it's it pretty good shape for its age and location. It has some rust, but it's hidden by the body cladding. These are pretty rare; definitely the rarest of the 91-96 whales. Only 4,3xx were built in 92, their last year. I was really looking for a Roadmaster, especially one with woodgrain and an LT1, but I got this for $1,100 with a bunch of new parts to rebuild the front suspension.
Good bits include:
5.7 TBI;
factory tow package; 3.23 FD and LSD (confirmed by RPO; LSD does work!;)
a map pocket and a real leather-wrapped steering wheel;
Third row seat;
VISTA ROOF!
Bad bits:
A/C is currently non-op;
driver window needs help going down and up; rear windows do not go down;
purple tint; currently very stuck on rear window, (not sure how to remove;)
no LT1 (was not an option;)
leather on driver's seat is shot;
Multifunction switch has the usual GM maladies.
I plan on fixing the wrongs, which shouldn't be too hard, aside from finding a seat to replace mine. The electrical bit scares me, though.
Naturally, once I go through the suspension up front, I will be autocrossing it.
cool stuff, never had a CC.
let me know if i can assist with any parts hunting. the 5.7 with 3.23 is a nice combo, dad's 93 roady woody has that.
I have never seen a vista roof on one of them . SCORE!

My kingdom for a tear-free seat?
Yeah, I am pretty happy with the 5.7/3.23 combo. It certainly feels faster than my old Grand Marquis, and it is unquestionably faster than my old Caprice! It's no Rocket though, especially with the missing front grille emblem.
Disappointed by lack of 911 content, will allow it on assumption of ridiculousness in the future.

The whale! She be white now. Call that E36 M3 Möbius dick, because that ass goes on FOREVER.
Needs coast guard numbers and mooring cleats.

Nice! Definitely better than my Volvo wagon.
Idea- massive white spoiler on the back. True whale tail from a 911 would be crazy (the spoiler would cost more than the car)
It has a Tach!I can't tell you how many times I've driven a road yacht with a slush box that I've wished it had a Tachometer! What a thoughtful idea.
That's the perfect car for a road trip.

In reply to DWNSHFT: that's not a knife....
That's a knife...
Awesome wagon...I keep thinking of an LT1 powered cadillac, wagon from that period...glad to see someone pull the trigger
I guess were's Olds brothers now.
Got me all hot and bothered to see the sexy curves of a 911. And instead I get the bulbous back end of a beached harbor cruise ship

That car is like an American girl: a little big, but won't let you down. And if she does, parts are cheap and plentiful.
Be sides, you can only fit 1 hot babe in a 911.

You would have killed yourself the first time a leaking water pump killed your optispark or distributor with an LT-1......believe me, you're much better off with a smog era TBI.
High five on the wagon, nice find
