I want to mount a smaller one in the bed of an old pickup. Unfortunately, a working example of the smaller engines (and associated hardware) are expensive; at least the ones I have seen for sale.

You could probably induce some serious oversteer by adding a vectored thrust nozzle. Doing donuts in a school bus would be cool.

Leave the original powerplant in for the corners and just add the jet for straight-line fun. How about, say, in a Beetle?

Jet keeps sucking the rose out of the bud vase on the dash!

When I was at Sheppard AFB, a B47 made an emergencing landing. After repairs, we all turned out to watch it take off with Jato/Rato. Impressive.
