Hello dorks. Long time listener, first time caller. I lived with one of you in college and subjected you to GM 3800 life.
Anyway, I had some ideas for show topics.
My merry band of idiots and I can't seem to stop buying terrible Maz-Fords from the mid 90s. My latest mistake was a semi functional 93 MX-3 with the KL-DE already in there. Also in the group are various Ford Ford Econoboxs and Festivas with MSM drivetrains stuffed into them, as well as more stockish Mercury Tracer wagons etc. So the topic could be the extended family tree of Mazda, Ford, and Kia, or the dangers of associating with a bunch of enabling fools.
Also, vice grips are perfectly acceptable ground straps. So are jumper cables.
What to do with four dead batteries "that just need to be charged up and they're fine! That's like $300 right there!"
How the stack of tires in the garage is like the pile of shoes and handbags in the closet, and strategies for presenting this argument successfully. (They're all different, I swear!)
Thanks for planting those seeds, Tim404. I won't be a bit surprised if those ideas get brought up in podcast conversation as time goes on. I used to be a fan of the MazFords myself. (not to say I'm not a fan now...I just haven't had one in a while)
