I'm normally the one that sends cars to the yards.....I sent a few sho's and many 80's chrysler turbo cars to their deaths in them.

Best score I've made was a 3.4L SHO v8 for $115 at the local pull a part, it was clean inside, turned freely with compression. I bought it to make into a table, but found it had welded cams......2 days of ebay auction later, someone jumped on the BIN price of $950.

323 GTX in a rural east tenn junkyard. Talked to the guys out at Corksport in Oregon and made 3 different trips to the yard taking parts that were on the specific lists that Derrick and the others sought. Essentially all the wiring harness, dash and other electronics and some running gear. Bubba thought that it was something similar to the early Subaru's.

i found a complete '88 BMW 325is waiting in line to be torn down at a local yard. Medium case LSD. No rust. Interior was a little shabby and had non-sport seats fitted. No keys. Bought the whole car for $700. Ended up having a cracked head. No big deal. I happen to have one.

I usually shop the Wilmington Pick your part and Ecology Auto, SoCal area. Willing to share with my GRM brothers cus ya'll won't do me dirty, right?

Was looking at LS400s to rehab the $1300 nonrunner I bought from Craigslist. Looked down and saw red sway bars. Wtf? No internets knowledge about them at all. A huge fight to get them out and way less than $100 later I take them home. Turns out they are super rare Eibach sways from a small batch made. Only known set in existence. Pretty cool.

The rear axles from the 1st gen Supras are worth $400-$500 if you find em. AE86 guys use them and they are in high demand.

93-94 LS400 ECUs, Climate control panels and Speedos bring pretty good money. Climate control panels need $40 LCD soldered in. Speedos need 3 capacitors and some superglue/conductive trace repair and sharpie. I sell the ECUs as is but have on order the replacement caps (8) that should up my profit considerably if I can solder them in correctly.

95+ LS400 front brakes are worth $150-$160 as the SC/GS/IS and 1st gen LS guys use them as a BBK upgrades.

If you know what to look for the "pull it yourself" yards with static pricing are the best. Alternators are X dollars, doesn't matter make or model. Engines are sold by cylinder count.

When I drove a Lincoln Mark VII I used to hit the Pull-A-Part on Buford Highway all the time. I had a couple sets of Marchal fog lights with plastic covers and brackets (both solid and spring loaded), a bunch of LSC door panel bits, and all kinds of air ride stuff. I'd strip the air ride from a car and the lady behind the counter had no idea what I had. They would charge me for vacuum lines and vacuum canisters, which amounted to about $10 for the whole system. I'd find the good bits and sell them to my Lincoln buddies online for 10x my cost. I still have a Turbo Thunderbird swaybar in the basement that I need to sell. Going rate used to be $80, I think I paid $10.

I wish I had pulled the turbos from all those turbo Dodges they had. All gone now.
