Really? Digging up a 14 year old concept car has anything to do with GM today? What next- GM's bad 2015 is because they could not get the vision of the future right in 1950?
A very good reason why "thruthaboutcars" is anything but.

I must have missed the part in the article where it said anything about how this relates to the current state of GM. It was just a short write-up about an ugly concept from 98.
A concept car from 1998 has what, exactly, to do with GM (or really, relevant blog-worthy news) today?
Am I the only one that thinks the annoying blog style writing in the article is way worse than the car? lol

And what does that have to do with anything in 2012? seems as if they were digging up thing for people to be mad about GM. Why even bring it up?
Are they going to now have an expose of the Edsel?
Okay, Okay, Okay. I somehow missed that it was an old concept car. Paleeez forgive me.
...But it's still mofugly.

To be fair, it is a strikingly ugly concept that most people haven't heard of. It is interesting to see and there's nothing inflammatory about the article that I can see. There's nothing wrong with discussing it, any more than there's anything wrong with an article talking about what a failure the Edsel was. Bravenrace didn't catch the date on the concept so the post title reflects it being a current concept - which it isn't - but don't blame that on the baruthaboutcars. Their web site and blog sucks but posting about an ugly old concept isn't why.
I know GM is everyone's favorite punching bag.......but the haters should actually.....you know DRIVE one of their new offerings before thinking it's automatically a POS.
Dredging up a 14 year old concept car as proof of today's GM is just silly.
I've been impressed with GM lately, they are making some damn good products.
To bad you guys hate Merika!

You didn't see my last post, I guess. But to respond to your statement about driving them, I won't ever buy an ugly car just because it drives well. There's plenty of good looking cars that drive well. So if I see a car that makes me want to puke, how it drives is a moot point.
In reply to Joe Gearin:
GM has definitely stepped up their game. I was helping a friend looking for new small cars and the Sonic wasn't the worst. I was better then the Yaris, Fit or Versa.

I really want to get my hands on a Sonic RS. Cheap little turbo b-car with the depreciation record of a rock falling off a building? That seems like it could make an awesome little autox rocket.
There are some styling cues in the concept that are echoed (far more successfully, I'd argue) on the current generation of Buicks. The raised second row was a feature of the Ford Freestyle/Taurus X and is a handy idea. The pull-out parcel tray made it into a couple of newer SUV/crossovers, though maybe as an option. IIRC it was a Saab accessory and struck me as being convenient. Interesting concept.
