Knight Rider question

Speaking of KITT, I just asked JG a vital question: Did they ever show what was under KITT's hood? Like, is there an episode where you see that giant air filter?

I never recall seeing it.

It was a Knight Industries turbojet with modified afterburners.

Didn't see every episode (OK, saw 2), but google says some Tech Chick had her hands in there.

Those specs are funny. Look at the braking distance spec... 70mph to 0mph in 14ft!

Looks like the Hoff should have been wearing a HANS device. That kind of deceleration would be kinda painful, IMO!

Need to get the designers on our rallycross program. Even adjusting for inflation, the cost to performance ration is amazing.

I can only imagine "rocket assist" steering is twitchy out on course.

Sounds perfect for when you've got a hairpin on loose dirt where the car just wants to push due to lack of front end bite. Just use the rockets to snap the tail around and go.

I remember there was one episode where he lines up against a guy for a drag race at the end of the episode, hits the turbo boost and the car just flies off into the distance without the other guy even getting off the line. I can't find a clip.

I can understand fudging all the other silly specs, but KITT's height is listed as 37.2 inches.

How short was Michael Knight?

I've watched every episode. The hood is never opened Engine is never shown.

Bonnie was one, but they changed girls at some point and I'm not sure if they just replaced the girl but kept the same name.
