My dad had one job in life and he failed to keep me off the pole. You should see my routine. I'm sexy in my hardhat.

So went to my Miata parter outer guy and no good 15 inch wheels.  Trying to figure out what I'm going to do with it. Original idea was to flip it. Now I'm torn. Dusterdb13 is trying to convince me to keep it and add boost. I have some thinking to do.

I wish I could find some cheap 15x7 wheels in 4x100. Best I can find is 15x6.5 which is a size that some OEM wheels came in and could be found in junkyards potentially.

What OE wheel is 6.5" at least in a 15" 4x100. I'd at least feel better about 205s on that then my current setup.

New-ish base model Versa wheels, apparently. (only 75% sure of this) The only thing I don't know for sure is the center hub diameter on these. Google says 60.1 mm which is larger than Ford/Mazda size.

I'll bet those are actually 15x5.5 and someone measured the width outside the flanges. I can't think of any 15x6.5 OEM wheels and I watch all the time for bargains because we have five cars that can use 4x100 bolt circle rims. I have purchased a few sets of aftermarket 15x7 wheels for less than $100. Currently everything seems to be priced higher, but I still see $200 sets occasionally. Keep looking, something will turn up.

What are you looking for in wheels? Stock? 15x7? Sixteens?

For this one I'm leaning now towards a stock flip so with it's options it should have come with 15x6 stock wheels.

MiataBob @ 904-400-8673 or is he the previously mentioned "parter outer"?

I considered that too, but for what it's worth, the 2020 Versa owner's manual does indicate a width of 6.5 inches on the steel wheel.

Importantly, the 2019 only lists a 5.5 inch wheel. So it's very new and you'd have to make sure to get the right ones.

Who knew, a Nissan Versa sedan could hold the secret to cheap wheels for Spec Miata takeoff slicks???

In reply to slowbird :

That might be handy for folks who like the look of steel wheels, but shy away from the usual narrow widths, too. I would still expect to be able to find myself track wheels for less than $50 each, but today's searching hasn't turned up any.

Edit:  Typical of what I search out for cheap rims....$150 set....Marketplace - Rims and Tires | Facebook

For sure, there are sometimes good used wheels for a steal, but I can't always find ones I like, so it's good to have some options.

I had a collection at one time.  Still have a small one.  It took a lot of searching.  CL had good search and email notifications but unfortunately all the unwashed masses have migrated to Facebook Marketplace and it sucks.

I had six sets of extra 4x100 wheels, I buy them when I find then cheap. I've traded off two sets for wider wheels and a set of tires for the Challenge Corolla and there are still four sets in the garage. It's a disease....a contagious one.

Today was road trip wheel day!

I got up at 5am and hit the road by 5:15. A little bit before 9am I rolled up on these guys.

Yep I'm in the right place.

Nice guys. Took me to the wheel stash and let me select the four I wanted. Treasure Coast Miata gets a thumbs up from me.

Loaded up and headed back to Jacksonville.

I looked at one for a GRMer last year.  Bad engine but cheap enough for a 2.5 swap.

Yes, that is exactly the kind of thing we need here.

I was tempted by a set of Konig wheels they had for the same price but this will be totally stock.  I'll be doing 195s which raises the next question of should I just order normal type tires for a flip or slightly performance?

Neither are in this thread.  This would be a Miata thread.  This Miata has a 1.8 liter in line 4.  It has 32k miles and will remain stock.

I got her titled today.  I'm going to do a running cost so that I can see how well I do in the end.

Miata                         $2000

Wheels                        $200

Tax, title, and tags    $228.25

Total so far                $2428.25

It's traveled 11 miles in the last 3 years since it was titled in the mom's name.  That's also about the distance from the DMV to their house.
