its easier to work on in a lot of ways. The interior is probably 2x better quality. There's no nasty footbox weirding up your drive. Id say the MPV has some pluses vs the astro.

I find this particular thread necro... acceptable.

I have not seen an MPV in years. YEARS.

When you say "MPV" you mean the 929-based RWD one, not the FWD one?  Heck, I see one of those every day.

In reply to 1988RedT2 :

Definitely the one which is the focus of this thread.

Sorry for another necro bump, but how’s yours been treating you?

I have a weird itch for obscure, vans, and Mazdas, and there’s a 1995 sort of close to me that’s a one owner car with 200k. Timing belt done. 1.5 k.

I've never seen one from that generation less than 4.5k. usually more like 6k.

I honestly don't think I've seen an MPV of any kind for several years, other than once at a pick-and-pull yard.

EDIT: just looked on marketplace and apparently people still have them, for sale, cheap, but they're all the 2nd-gen ones.

but the closest 1st-generation one I can find is about 500 miles away

I have a friend with a 1st generation MPV on RX7 Turbo II wheels, which has been manual swapped, and it's pretty sweet.

You can manual swap them? Sheet.

I only came in here to post the mpv with the 300zx TT engine. Someone already did. I'll see myself out.
