Anything I should know beyond the stuff on the SCCA / DC website?  Planning on coming out with the 190E and giver a go.  What are the requirements on helmet?  I have one, but it's an SA2005 - are those legal, or is it too old?  I used it a fair bit for autox when I bought it, but it's been collecting dust for several years now.  Well, the box has been collecting dust.

Weather looks nice.

The SA2005 helmet is still valid for another few years.  I don't have much else to contribute, as I'm not a local, but they seemed to have a great group out there from when I attended the East Coast Challenge.

SA2005 is still good, IIRC. If it turns out not to be, we have loaners.

Otherwise, we're pretty laid back. Bring water, and suggest you bring lunch since there's noplace very close to run to.

Also, if you're not signed up, do it NOW. we're like 2 cars from the cap..

What do you know and what don't you know from the websites?  As a local who helps put on the events I am always happy to answer questions about the events as are quite a few other local rallyx people on this forum.

RallyX is current standard (M/SA 2015) and two prior (2010, 2005) so you are good until the 2020 standard comes out.

Did you autox in the DC area?

Thanks for the heads-up on the cap, I registered this morning.

moxnix, it's not so much what I don't know, but more like I don't even know what I should be asking.  I'm just going to show up with some food and drink, a hat and sunblock, and hopefully have some fun.  I'll probably bring an extra set of wheels to use during the rallyx. I don't trust the tires to go 3 hrs (r/t) on the road since they're like 15 yrs old, but they're snows so that should be better than my DD tires.

Looking fwd to it.  How many runs do you normally get?

I haven't been to the rally farm specifically, but bring a bandana too just in case. Or just something to wrap over your mouth/nose to filter the dust clouds while your working the course. It can get thick out there.

Otherwise, just bring more water than you think you'll need and a willingness to have fun.

We normally have about 9 runs of 60+ seconds.

You'll need to log in to post.
