Did the rear bearings on my 924 with 944 aluminum trailing arms (to change the offset so I can use my early offset wheels 'cause Porsche rims aren't cheap!)

It wasn't easy, the axle nuts are torqued to about 250-300ft/lbs. I think I had a 6-8 foot piece of fence post on a 3/4" drive breaker bar with my 200lb butt on the end of it all. Made a scary noise when it let go.

Keep in mind that the CV joints are the same inboard/outboard, so they both use triple square bolts to hold them to the stub axles, it isn't clear in the above picture.

Perfect.. So it has to be just the bearing or the nut which let loose.. and I didn't hear bearing noise..
