As chronicled in the link, the neon has been infested with ants, mice, and silverfish that i have found so far.
I have/am removed the whole interior and trunk other than dash and firewall pad.
I bombed with a hotshot fogger prioelr to starting disassembly as i saw a bunch of the ants when i pulled the rear seat.
Unfortunately, not all are dead, etc.
How do i kill them all? And be sure? The shop is my basement. I dont want these things in my house.
We went through this last year, discussed it here. Hope this is of help.
Link.
Good luck, I recommend a professional.
I would use this as an excuse to buy a ant eater.
I actually started the s10 for the 1st time in a few months and noticed a rat tail zip off the top of the engine when I opened the hood. I didn't see any damage and the truck started right up.
Any advice to keep him away going forward? Car is parked outside...

Following for ideas, just ripped out my dashboard after finding mouse condos and a dead critter . SWMBO suggested mothballs around the perimeter of the garage and around the car with traps inside the car.
The spiders have been doing a good job of keeping the DSM pest-free so far.
My Belvedere had a severe bee problem from sitting for so many years, here's how I cured it:
Buy a 3-pack or more of those RAID foggers. Cover the car with a tarp, leaving one side of the car accessible but able to be quickly covered. Set off one (or more) fogger inside the car and 2 (or more) UNDER the car (front and rear) and quickly cover the car. Let it sit for 24h and then un-tarp and air it out. This SHOULD kill off pretty much anything that's living in it (or really piss them off.)
Also, brake cleaner is an insta-kill for most bugs.
For mice, dryer sheets will keep them away, as will cats, and who doesn't love cats?
In reply to TheRX7Project :
I had thrown mothballs into my BMW while it was going to sit in the shop over winter, but there is still evidence of rodents hanging out. Looks like I will be adding a bunch of dryer sheets to the interior now as well... I need better cats, our outdoor cats are only good at whining for food at the door and I get called a bad person if I don't feed them to try and encourage them to go hunt for mice....
Can't help with ants or silverfish, but for mice I used to cut a piece of coil stock and make a hoop around each jack stand; acts like the Great Wall. I use binder clips to hold it together and easy removal.
Mothballs and dryer sheets *may* work in the very short term to keep away mice, but as soon as the smell starts to fade they'll be back. I've seen them chew on the mothballs and make nests out of dryer sheets. Irish Spring soap doesn't work either.
