I have a very specific question that may be impossible to answer!
I have a 78 malibu that has a random mid 80's 350 sbc in it. This is our LeMons car. I am adapting a TBI setup off of a 1994 chevy K1500.
My manifold (edelbrock carb type) has many ports for the temp sensor / other sensors. The problem is that none of the plugs are willing to be removed!
I need to add a coolant temp sensor for the pcm where my old guage unit was. I would still like a gauge.
No problem right! Wrong! The temperature sensor locations in the heads are also BOTH too tight to loosen. I can't get any of them out of the block!
So I was thinking to myself... ....self, why not tap off of the wire for the PCM's coolant temperature sensor?
Anybody know how to do this? Can it be done with this configuration?
Does anybody have any other ideas for a gauge install?
This is for LeMons, so it must be cheap or at least appear cheap!
Thanks!
