I am replacing rear axle seals/bearings in the Race car...it is a Tiger rear end assembly. The leaking seal came out easily on the driver side with an autozone rental extractor and slide hammer.
the non-leaking passenger side is not coming out with this tool.

Searching for blind bearing removals got me some Amazon choices but I'm looking for some endorsements on a specific tool.
Culprit is about 2.575 OD with a 1.5" ID.

The blind surface is beveled also.

How deep is it located in the axle?

About 7" from the flange to the back side.

This looks like it will work, but I don't know the brand at all.

Harbor Freight sells a set that works very well in conjunction with a slide hammer.

This is the slide hammer kit I have. It is from Amazon. If I did it right, the picture is the link, click it.

Thanks for both links...my problem is the seal  is about 7" down one side of the tube and 20 inches down the other side  with sleeves and axle guides along the way. I think I need an  extractor that I can send through the 7" side, rotate and expand it, then slide hammer or ratchet it out. I ordered the set I posted earlier...we shall see if it is complete junk. It got decent reviews from most folks, but the bad ones were REALLY BAD.

I think the rod on the hammer is 18" or so, plus the puller is another 5. That should be enough to get the hammer far enough out to still work.

Maybe I'm missing something...how do you get to the backside of the bearing (that is down the 20" tube)?  To further complicate things, the opening on the wheel side is also small, (about the same as the bell side), so I was thinking the expanding puller was my only option. I hope I'm not missing something obvious!

I didn't take a picture of it, but it's essentially half of the above image. The seal is about even with the blue tape on the watts link.

With the nut backed off, the flange lays beside the stud and slides through the bearing id.

Well, there you go. That would do it. If the thing I have coming doesn't get it, I will move to this. Ed Higginbotham and I visited Harbor Freight Saturday, but they didn't have this in stock.  Super nice guy there working the floor though.

Thanks for the lead.
