The speed of the event is not what brings me coming back, it's the speed I can maintain when driving the offsets on the 8000 foot runway. The dog leg at Buttonwillow gets really narrow above 100 mph. Having a wide runway to work with allows you the room you might need to find the edge, and yes beyond.
