A friend is going all-out trying to build a very cool, very fast challenger but has run into issues with the shop he was trying to use.
he has his sights set on shipping to a shop in california but I told him I thought it would be better if he could find a good florida shop who would want to take it on.
ive asked for more info (like motor, trans, etc and will update as I hear), but here is what he said:
"It is a blasted shell currently.
73 Challenger
it needs: 3 link and cage . It needs wired and I'm using a haltech nexus R5. Needs plumbed and the mid mount turbo plumbing needs to be done.
That's the big stuff but there is also small stuff. Steering column, pedals and hardlines and glass body panel mounting."
anyone know of any good shops in the great state of Florida??
I know of a shop that I've heard good things of here in Jax but I don't have any first hand knowledge so reluctant to recommend.

this is some of the stuff he already has:
6.2 hemi fully built for boost (turbo)
HGT 6 speed sequential
Currie fabricated 9 inch full floater
Strange pro HD aluminum center
Im having him check this thread for info
Shops here in SE FL are all pretty busy. Curious, Speedtech Torque arm?
I'm supposed to do some resto work on a '70 Challenger pretty soon.
Kevin Smith at KSR in Gainesville would be my recommendation. He has plenty of videos on YouTube where you can see some of his handy work.
I think whistlingdiesel's Charger was done in Florida. Despite its inevitable demise, someone did an outstanding job on building it.

That shop mostly does supercars though I think? I wonder where they get all their money from though.
I have no idea how to judge custom shops but I drive by Street Metal Concepts in Sanford every day and their garage looks amazing every time it is open. All the builds look like high dollar builds and they change regularly.
Hidden in the woods, and doesn't advertise... but Havana Hot Rods does amazing work. Last time I checked they had a one year wait to get on their list.
Florida is a fairly big state. It's 1000 miles from Pensacola to Key West. I know some shops in the Panhandle but it might be a long haul for your project....
