I'm curious as to whether this turn of events led to the development of the beta site (and in turn the ability to search past issues by models covered within their articles).

I actually called that Marietta lot. They clearly didn't know about the site or their cars being on it; looks like the inventory on it was stolen from legitimate websites, just like the reviews.

This is why many companies buy every domain that could be a typo to get to their site. I know State Farm owned something like 300 domain names when I worked there.
