First off I went With my fiance to get new tires on the front of her civic today, due to her 'fix-it' ticket last night. In the end we picked some Winter/all season hybrid himalayas. Any word on these, even thoe at this point whats done is done and the bald sumitomo htr h4's are gone.

Now I'm about to order my "summer" (i.e. non-studded) tires. My top choise is Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole Position in 195/60/14. Thoughts on these?

I looked up those falkens, not going to work. I need something all season that will at least stay on the road in some snow before I can legaly install my studded snows on nov. 1.

I'm mostly going thrue tire rack, i find them to be easier to navigate than DTD or vulcan

Why not just another set of Sumitomo HTR H4's?

The sumitomo's came off her civic, I'm shoping for my Neon R/T. The ratings are not that impressive on the H4's. Also the potenzas are the only Ultra High performance in my size, plus they are the top rated in the class

I've got 960s on both my Miata and Maxima for the "non auto-x" driving seasons. Great tire but not a summer performance tire.

I had potenzas on the mercedes for a couple years and they were good. My main impression of a tire is made by how it wears and how long it last though, my car doesn't have enough juice to spin the tires so traction isn't as important as wear. The only issue I had is by the time it came to replace some worn out tires they not longer made the potenzas in the correct size they switched models.

That's a tough size...I have it now, too.

I run snow/ice tires in the winter and put them on before the first flakes.

I'm torn between going with the AZENIS or jumping up to 15" and going with RE-01Rs or the new Ecsta XS...

Budget wise the AZENIS will likely win.

I don't want to go with an all season. Looking for something I can autocross/DD.

I went ahead and ordered the potenzas. Even sprung for the road hazard plan. Once they get here they get to sit in my basement for a month or two till I get them mounted, then sit back in the basement till I pull the studded snows. Hopefully i can run the new tires by mid april
