I have my next LS swap victim already picked out.
I think this is "internet syndrome".
In any given day, on any given road, on your commute to work or otherwise... how many "LS Swaps" actually drive past you?
"everybody's doing it" "played out" etc. Not so much in "real life."
Well, I drive past two to get out of my driveway
I was thinking about the big ol' Cadillac on the way in to work. And I think it needs an LS lump. Maybe an Escalade 6.0 to "keep it in the family". Should simply fall into that huge engine bay. It'll be a lot easier than the MG was.

Speaking of "keeping it in the family"....
Is there an easy way to get 6.6 liters out of an LS motor, perhaps a bored 6.0 or 6.2?
Livernois makes a SWEET 404 CI LS stroker kit. I think that equates out to 6.6, maybe 6.7L
Cool thing about it? A 6.0 block requires no machining to accept the stroker crank. Yowzaa!
In reply to SilverFleet:
4" bore x 4" stroke= 402-403in^3 ~ 6.6L
So easiest way is to stroke a 6.0 with a OTS stroker crank kit.

No. 4" BORE with the same 5.7 stroke of 3.622" = 6.0L
I'm pretty sure that all of the factory LS engines share the same stroke, with the exception of the 427 ci LS7. It's all bore. But that's not big enough to match the displacement of the original 429. Not that I need to. I'd be happy with a stock 6.0 or 6.2.

Except for the 4.8L too. It only has a 3.25" stroke with the 5.3L, 3.78" bore.

LS2, LQ4, and LQ9 engines have a 4" bore . . . add the 4" stroke and you are at 402ci.
LS2, LQ4, and LQ9 have a stroke of 3.622"
hehe no problem . . .
Edit: Repost for relevance
Gen III/IV engine bore and stoke combos
3.779" bore combinations
3.898" bore combinations
4.000" bore combinations
4.065" bore combinations
4.125" bore combinations

I see more than i can count on one hand weekly.

Really? The only time I've seen one in person in the past decade is at Porsche club event.

Yep, really.
Keep in mind that a few years ago i couldn't walk outside without tripping over a 300whp+ turbo Honda, either.
I'm fairly certain there's more V8 Rx7s here than rotary powered RX7s. They're EVERYWHERE.
If we use the "can't walk outside" measurement technique, I can tell you that approximately 25% of all Miatas have LS3 engines or will get one soon If we expand that to my garage, we get 50%.

Ok ok Mr. Literal...
I meant that to mean "We used to have literally DOZENS of 300whp+ turbo hondas in the general area."

It's a really good point. I've actually never seen an LS swapped anything in real life, yet I still feel like I've seen it all.

Actually, I ran across three this week. And being that I really only saw maybe 7 total hot rods/cool cars this week, it's like half the market has an LS-swap.
It's way, way worse at the track.
