This weekend, I have to replace the A/C condenser and radiator in my 2012 Mazda 3. Like many other manufacturers these days, Mazda has special coolant, called FL22. Are there any parts store equivalents I can run out and grab, or do I have to get this stuff from the dealer? I've read that Ford's VC-10-A2 coolant is close, and since the job doesn't require a complete drain of the coolant system, whatever I put in needs to be compatible with what's already in there. Any thoughts?

Some googlefu says the zerex blue Asian formula can be used and that’s available at NAPA.

For the amount of looking around, I’m kinda glad I have crappy dexcool in everything around here. indecision

I used a Ford equivalent that was half of the cost. I forget the PN and I won’t be able to get to it until Monday but if you still need it by then I’ll be sure to get it.

I ended up finding a Prestone/Zerex product that met the Mazda FL22 standards. $12.99/gal for pre-mix VS. $30 at the dealer. So far, so good.
