Hi all. Thinking about gauges and data logging for my race car. Back in the old days, we'd buy some 2 1/16" individual gauges. These days, some of that data is available via ODBII but I'd also want to capture data for both display and logging for analysis and tuning that is not available via ODB.
I want the following data from the car:
- Water temp - available via ODBII
- AFR / Lambda - available via ODBII
- Oil temp
- 2 EGT sensors (because rotary)
- transmission oil temp
- differential oil temp
- fuel pressure (nice to have)
Are there any products that can combine ODBII and external sensors so that it can be displayed in a tablet and logged for later review?
Anyone have any suggestions on how to get this data (on a budget)?
Thanks.
Would the budget stretch to cover something like an AiM Sport dash / logger?

Maybe. Got a link to a setup that might work? I looked at the Autosport Labs stuff too but I got rather overwhelmed. The product descriptions kinda require you to have a certain amount of knowledge about this stuff and I guess I'm a bit... uninformed...

AiM Sports MXS 1.3 $1,299.00 random google search.
It may be the answer because of Race Studio data analysis.
Now on the other hand my data on RPM, fuel pressure, cyl. head temp, vacuum, and TPS, all came from a Microsquirt (wired for monitoring) connected to dash app on tablet. GPS telemetry can be logged on some apps. The car is running on that system now.
An AIM product maybe worthy easy button. (just bang and done).
There are also some developer apps out there that let you display Torque Pro Data on Android Auto screens. It typically will give you 3 additional gauges. That doesn't solve the non-ODBII inputs but it will give you the other 2 you are looking for.
