Let me know when a nice G50 Carrera is back to a $30k car and I’ll be happy. Oil cooled Porsche’s are still stupid.
Still annoyed that I couldn't get in to a 911SC when they were sub-$10k redheaded stepchildren. Dammit, I actually LIKE that iteration of 911.
Nope. The SC want the red headed stepchild. That’s the 2.7l short hoods. For decades they were, and still are the left overs. You need to check out the ‘SCWDC’ (SC world domination council ‘

I feel like Porsche is being a bit stuck up about the whole thing.
Henry Ford's Quadricycle is still considered a Ford despite the fact that it was made long before the Ford Motor Company as we know it today.
Porsche seems to be fine with the 914 and the 924.
Wonder if the 1899 I-can't-remember-its-name four wheel drive hybrid electric car that Dr. Ing. Porsche designed came up for auction (if it still even exists), would they say "It's not a Porsche" as well?
I believe there has been a long term pissing match between the Porsche family and the Otto Mathe families ,
Porsche could have bought it when Otto passed in 1995 , Otto had been using it for decades as a "prop" when he displayed his oil additive he was selling at major car shows.
but did not and built a Alloy body shell to put in the museum,
The Germans have to walk a tight line with Nazi history and this also includes VW , Mercedes , BMW.
I see this as going to a private sale after the cool down period , the Auction house screwed up over something as simple as letting the "scoreboard" operator know the estimated price on cars that are up for auction.
In reply to Knurled. :
The electric car in the Porsche Museum is a detailed replica ,
But I wonder what the sign on it says.......calling it a Porsche or ?????

The car is listed as "still for sale" on the RM website.
It didn’t meet its reserve at the auction.

Around 2008 I bought a 1978 911SC Targa with 33K miles, in almost spotless condition for $16K. I hate myself for ever selling it.
